very highly educated teacher, should be teaching in a college ,,over-quailified for a secondary teacher. great teacher for a laugh and a generaly nice man.

Fantastically enthusiastic about Classical Studies, great man to listen to, could talk about the Romans for a week and still be interesting. Sorry to hear he's not there anymore

Fantastic. Incredible knowledge and passion for English, Latin and Media. Understanding and respectful towards students. The school would be lost without him.

Very good. One of the best. Great when it came to all aspects of multimedia and understanding film. Wish there had been more like him during my time there.

I had "Alvin" for intercert Latin in '84. I still remember the noun endings after 20 years!!! Great teacher. As good as they come.

had him for junior 2002 and leaving 2004 brillent teacher easy to talk to and learn from. classes are a good laugh made english easy and fun
