He was a good teacher to the strong, the stronger you were the more he liked you. No time for lesser abilities. Worked off fear a bit in class
I had Mr Murphy for honors Maths most of my time in chanel.
Without a doubt the best maths teacher ever. I finished in chanel in 1997 but listening to my kids now talk about their maths teachers puts it all in perspective. I have often taught to myself, if my kids had this teacher they would breeze through Maths like I did with the help of Mr Murphy.
Wishing him the best of luck in his endeavours and thanks for the education.
Best teacher in the school by far learn so much in his class and he is really dedicated, plus his double meanings are hilarious....
doesn't explain anything he says, but I think im better because of his high expectations. Hes a great teacher though. Makes you laugh
never learn anything cos he doesnt explain ANYTHING properly!!! got 100% in exams last year and this year i think i failed! awful teacher
Great maths teacher. Somehow I got a B in my Leaving Cert in Honours Maths. Should have failed it.
wat a legend, go on DRG button, great man for the house partys aswell
The only teacher who never received grief from a pupil.Amazing.
During the 4 years he taught me, he never sat down once during class.Completely dedicated and deserves a double salary.
Murph is wasted in Chanel. His talents would be appreciated in Manor house or st Paul's.You wouldnt expect Alex Ferguson to manage Raheny united.Murph is a fantastic professional, top man.
most boring person i've ever met in my life.made a very tedious subject even more so.
Couldnt imagine him doing any other job.Needs to lighten up.1st rate.
Good teacher (30 years ago). Nice person. Very clear and helpful. Nothing bad to say about him. He was very fair & took his job seriously. A born teacher.
A clever man who was a good teacher to bright maths students. Not the best with weaker students, though. Was very dismissive of other subjects. Maths and English were all you needed.
for all his faults you couldn't ask for a more dedicated teacher even if it was to the detriment of other subects.Went above and beyond the call of duty for those interested.
Genius, only man how'd give hawkins a run for his money.
Top teacher. Dedicated but very results driven. Put in the hours (a lot !) and helped those who were interested.
Best maths teacher I ever had. Got me my A in the Leaving Cert by pushing limits. Dedicated to the best students. Put unlimited extra time in if it bore fruit.
Very good teacher if 1% of the other teachers in Ireland were like this man Ireland would of put men on Mars by now.
The king of double meanings knows how to make the class laugh but doesnt know were laughing at him not wit him
Could have spent a little more time on the weaker students. If you were prepared to work he's your man!
has plenty of time to teach those pupils willing to learn.sorts out the clowns and wasters hence not as popular as soft-touch teachers.gives up his spare-time
Murphy was the best teacher I ever had. Put a lot of spare time into anyone who wanted to learn. Also the debating and business competitions.
The best teacher ever. Had the best laughs in his class and got the best results out of everyone. got an A1. RONAN M 4 EVER.
Gave good handouts and not terrible classes but i hated the man he was possibely the most ignorant teacherive ever had and im glad i left the class stil got a B
the most down 2 earth teacher in da school.hes defintly gonna b da next ireland football manager
Gets the stuff covered. I am in 2nd year honours maths and sometimes when somebody asks a question he sniggers derisively at them.
Top man, a little odd, but a good guy. Always said I'd pass.. he was right. Any man with two fridges is on a winner as far as I am concerned. Good luck Ronan!
absolute legend, funny class and learning at the same time!! how is that possible??? only murphy and his pictures behind him know the answer.
Knew his stuff but there was no need for the rampant use of double entendres.
Simply the best teacher iv ever had!! his class was a great laugh, and he got the work done.
He cured my insomnia. Are you revising or distracting?-Revision is the secret to success. It wasn't much of a secret when he told us all the time.Very funny guy.
nice man, has a tendency to come on to his students, his inuendos are the best and should not be taken for granted, likes to ask seniors back to his house etc.
One of the best Mathematics teachers I've ever come across - it's just a pity I didn't have him for my Leaving Cert course. A credit.
Notes are great. Always will stop you from getting lazy.
Great teacher, i see him every now and again coming out of hugh longs gaff. gave a few black eye's when throwing out the copies...."RONAN"
absolute legend, past pupil and one of his many a students, his dedication is unquestioned, and a credit to his profession
Gets resuts the hard way. strick Disciplinarian with a no nonsense approach to teaching. excessive homework and weekly tests. Horrible carry-on style innuendo's
I thought he was great. Always something to brighten up your day.
Good with the economics and maths. Knows his stuff but is a bit scary. OK, well more than a bit. Definately organised and dedicated though.
Uncomfortable class to be in. Good teacher but creates uncomfortable atmosphere. Really have to work if you want to succeed.
