Absolutely the reason I still have the gra for the gaeilge!! My dad died in Christmas 92 and he was the only teacher to broach the subject with me, never forget what he said and will always appreciate him for it!
He allowed you to chat with each other, even slag himself once you did it "as gaeilge"
Wow he is such a bad teacher and I can barely understand what he says half the time. He knows little Irish or else he's just lazy. Teaches the class unnecessary things that aren't on the LC.
Top man. But doesn't put the passion in to his teaching. He didn't give me enough in class to get the grades I wanted.
A great guy whom was part of the coaching staff that took the school to the 1987 Leinster Senior Soccer Final.
good teacher, was often afraid to go to his irish class, cus my irish wasnt up to the standard
Class guy. He had to be - being a culchie working in Dublin with that annoying Cork accent!! Made a great football team out of us in 1994/5 when we got to the quarter finals of the Leinster Cup
i think tht robbie cronin is the biggest legend ever to grace the marian coollege front lawn in the student -v- teachers match
This guy was probably the best teacher I ever had. I had good teachers, but this guy really brought the lessons home to you, and instead of talking down to you, would respect you and encourage you.
World Class Man and Teacher I got an B1 in Spanish with him
Best teacher in the school by a mile, helped me b4 my irish and spanish exam. good at football, chelsea are crap, go on the barcacrona!
He basiclly taught me spanish and irish in one year. Help me trough a tough repeat year he didn't like didn't like my bad language though! top man
Cronin was brilliant, got me a pass in the Leaving without a shadow of a doubt.
I learned German with a Cork accent, top class bloke, might of passed Irish in JC if I was still in his class at the time
robbie "you can't do that" cronin was a superb teacher.the best language teacher by a mile
Awl Roberto Cronin with the 26 inch thigh muscles. An exceptionally good teacher and a very nice person. Ciocha go-deas
good teacher like... "if you do the work, you'll be grand like" WHY SAY "LIKE" SO MUCH?
Seemed nice enough, but muttered a lot and did not reach the quieter students.
Robbie was a legend. One of the best teachers in the school be it for Irish or German.
I had Mr Cronin as my teacher 15 years ago. And I have to agree with most of the comments here, this guy is a legend.
A legend with the teanga!!....Got me thtough the repeat year and am grateful.
'Salt of the earth' type. Fanatical Gaeilgoir and fluent in five languages. Good craic if you were on his good side.
Probably the best Irish teacher in Dublin. Funny man
always rubbing in Chelsea's wins! very sound and a great teacher, laid back,u can have a good laugh with him.. fav saying"like" as he's from cork
Had his on and off days but sometimes he was the best teacher there was.
Learnt most Irish from arguing over Shamrock Rovers, in Irish obviously.Draged you kicking and screaming upto your potential, looking back he was a great teacher
robbie bhoy is a true irish hero, no complaints, except he is from cork
Loved the chicken jumper and id say is still wearing it to this day...!
Only helpful towards d students who oul robbie felt had d potential 2 listen & understand d drivel he spoke. Good teacher nonetheless despite reservations.
I'm a student of LC year 2001 and i found robbie to be a great teacher, for all the trouble i caused him he still saw the potential in me!! good man robbie,Dave
