Very limitied teacher, his primitive technique worked well for me with Irish. Teaching based purely on aggressively enforced repetition. Good for lazy kids with natural ability. Dangerous for nervous
Maybe cos he liked us we all seemed to get on very very well with him. Don;t remember cross words, but did really enjoy the class.
He was an awful man, once told me i would be standing on a dole Q when i was older (the fact is i have done quite well and now more qualified than He)in a way we should pitty him, clearly has issues.
he got good results prob due to fact he thought higher level clsaaes! he was a bully with a bad temper with no idea of the emotional needs of the young people he thought
if you forgot your copy he'd let it slide but if you forgot your book boy you were in trouble. great teacher. got an a in honours junior cert geography. through irish i might add
Sár-mhúinteoir! Gaeilge den chéad scoth againn ar fad, mar dhea!!!
Excellent teacher. Taught Irish really well. Was dedicated to his pupils. Loved his classes. Was always very fair
Amazing teacher, got me 2 A's for my Junior Cert, wish he had been there for the Leaving! A tad too obsessive about discipline though, needed to calm down a bit
Totally and utterly scary, esp when ur a 1st yr,but he always got brilliant results.U might not like him at the time, but in hindsight u really appreciate him.
Answer to the last question, yes sitting at the bus stop on the first day of 2nd year, great teacher but really scared me
Peadar was the best Irish teacher I have ever had. Very strict. His teaching was based on repetition and he made sure we knew our stuff. Good way for languages.
Found him to be a very petty man who picked on certain students in my class regardless of whether they did the work or not
the best teacher i ever had.had no problem doing university level irish.always pushed you to try harder to up your grade
