I had James O'Donovan as my French teacher from 85' to 88'. He was excellent. He told us to learn the vocabulary at the back of the textbook every day and I still remember it. He knew the language perfectly and I remember sitting in his really big classroom on the 2nd floor opposite the music room. The walls were painted all red. It was a pity he didn't teach Honours French up to Leaving Cert level because the teacher that did was hopeless.
Fizzy!. An absolute pleasure and made Learning so enjoyable. Somehow everyone else seemed to think he was a bore fest. quite the opposite.
Great teacher, didn't take crap in the class but you could still have a laugh, one of the best history teachers going
What a genuinely nice, down to earth guy, unlike many other teachers. Taught Irish in an easy way and actually made learning an unenjoyable subject someway easy.
What a guy only ever talked about Eurotrash(the tv show) in our french classes shame he is gone :(
Excellent teacher. Had all the time in the world for me. One of the nicest people teaching. Deserves a medal.
