VERY fortunate to have been in Mr M's Latin, English (salvation after the travesty of Ache's class!) and Religion/Civics classes. I knew then, as I still know, that this teacher had the most profound effect on my career and education; I am a published author, and every time I review something which I have written, my litmus-test is STILL: "what would Mr Maloney think of this?" I applaud his passion and efforts he made on our behalf. Still a little saddened by the lack of respect shown by some.
We used to call him 'Mick The Molecule' on account of how he walked with a slight bounce. Always had a real enthusiasm about him. A genuinely nice man, very well spoken and a man very passionate about his subject. Very approachable and a good teacher. One of the few teachers I had a lot of respect for. Fair play to you Mr Moloney. A true gent.
An excellent teacher: had him for latin. Instilled a love of subject. Superb
A gift of a teacher, still feel fortunate for having had him.
possibly the best teacher I had in Vincents, fair play, wish there were more like him!
Honours English '99. An absolute gent and regret the wasted oppurtunity to have learned so much more from him. Hope he has a great retirement.
The best teacher I ever had. I still remember everything he taught 16 years on. Superb dedication, commitment and if someone cracked a joke he laughed along. Thank You Sir.

Mick Moloney was a great teacher and a very patient man. Best of luck in your retirement !.
We had him for Latin. In a class where everybody got an A in science (Paul Cook) and nearly everybody got an A in Math (Paul Cook again), 3/4 of the class got an F or NG in Latin. He tried and seemed
Had him for English when I was there during the 90's, top guy, really believed in my writing and encouraged me to do honours. I went on into journalism.
What an amazing man, a pleasure to have been taught by him, a shame that a minority didnt appreciate him,but im sure they will one day when their brains finally develop,Thanks for your great comments.
The Best Teacher any one could have, Brilliant, insightful, immensely intelligent, tirelessly helpful, wonderfully patient. A Softy ? “The fault, Dear Brutis, lies not in the stars but in ourselves.”
\I left Vincent's in 1981 with a largely dreadful set of memories of sarcasm, taunting and some victimisation from teachers. One of a few exceptions were Michael Moloney who was humanity personified.
brilliant teacher who was ridiculously enthuaisiastic. The only problem was he had no control over his class and developed a rep for being a complete walkover. A shame
A gentleman who was helpful, friendly and caring. if only every teacher was like Mr Moloney - Thank you, Sir!
what a guy! i absolutely walked all over him and once made him cry, something which will haunt me forever. sorry Sir!
Absolute gentleman. God, I gave him some grief. That said, his class of '99 got something like 3/4 As, which for LC Hons is pretty amazing. Work with his brother now - another gent
