The best teacher I had in Secondary School. Strict but fair and funny, great grasp of the English language, wasted in school, should have been a college prof.
Fantastic teacher and he never ever left peoples' deficiencies where his subject was concerned (such as my appalling writing!) get in the way of his personal feelings towards them. Very decent gent.
ive heard about him always siding with the teachers, but from what ive seen hes fairly sound and hes well able to have a few jokes with people
We hated each other.I can now say for sure, he is an absolute legend.I hope he has restored a good name to the school.''A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse''
If the Irish Goverment had a second in command like Colaiste has Dennis, then this would be a much better country. A wonderful person - An Amazing Teacher.
Speaks like an englishman, but u have to respect killer.
His wit, humour, class and brillance are unsurpassed in teaching. But i think he is wasted in school. he is surely destined for greater things
he was worshipped by his class. only those who had something to hide were afraid of him.
Strict But fair To be honest Too intelligent for secondary School Born to Be President Even though He suspended me 4 times
Dennis is the very best , I had the privilege of being a student of his from 1972 to 1977. Inadvertently we were the original debating team and it was an awesome experience. Pound
Had 4 free english instead of ms keane dat 1 class got me a B.Sounder then every1 thinks
Best teacher I had in 18 years of education. Very good V.P. too, I hear.
Passionate about his subjects and very witty aswell. One of the best!
Everyone in the school is afraid of him even though he is the smallest man.Sound man and is a good laugh. Is very well respected.
A Shakespearean icon of Justice, verity, temperance, stableness, Bounty, perseverance, mercy, lowliness, Devotion, patience, courage, fortitude.
Excellent teacher, really got me interested in english. I remember him sending a pupil out of class once saying he "banishing him to the intellectual wilderness
it seems like he knows everything. had him for a free in french, history, english and cspe. learned loads!!!!!
Legend! "Gentlement,is there some sort of general malaise going around the school this morning!"
a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse.wat a man.great sense of humour
Superb Teacher. Had the pleasure / good fortune of being taught by this man for all of my 6 years at school. Very well thought of and influential. Thanks Mr K.
he is a sound man,has a good balance between friendship and strictness with pupils, very influential.
This man has a comeback for EVERYTHING, you cannot beat him verbally.Sound out provided your not doing anything he thinks is wrong
killer. half the time i dont know what hes saying but i always laugh. funny man but hes a tough one. best english teacher and should go teach again.
Nice guy with his favourites and not so with many others. good interesting teacher though. the prefect thing was wierd.
Oh Buckley, take 100 lines - A nod is good as a wink to a blind horse. Excellent teacher, hilarious and a very nice man too. He comes from Banteer by the way
Definately the Funniest techer i ever came across....really takes to the senior students...happy days..
All I'll say is a great teacher, "A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse". Thought my dad too long time ago.
I'm out of the school 16 years but still remember those English classes - legendary...
A nice man. He's a great V.Principle and can take a few jokes. Liked by most people.
Wow we need someone who can create an active LEARNING environment not a prison, come on I'll go to mountjoy if I want your type of discipline, calm down.
very funny guy. i love yard duty according to him. he will always tell you what you did wrong unlike frank
Excellent teacher, loved his subject and it showed in every class. Did Paradise Lost with him and absolutely loved it.
Denis Kennedy was one of the best teachers I ever had. He was a tough cookie but the man knew his stuff and could definitely teach. Very funny too!
dry-witted, erudite, helpful, an asset to the school
great when you got to know him and the class got older , he was strict but brought humor to a class as well
Honestly the best teacher i've ever had. Has gone on to be vice-principal as far as i know. Huge loss to the teaching staff of CSN. So much respect for him.
