I left An Caislean in 1981. I had a great pleasure of being taught by Mr. Ryan, who was a 1st class educator and took no non-sense in his approach. Most of the lads taking Higher Course Gaeilge got honors. Mr. Ryan put a huge amount of effort, pride and energy into his lessons and covered a huge range of material with ease. Mr. Ryan also gave alot of his own time to the really great times in the Gaeiltacht in Rosmuc. One of the greats!!
he shouts to much and if u get on the rong side of him god help u
AH BRILL TEACHER HE GETS THE JOB DONE ONE OF THE BEST........(BUT VERY VERY GRUMPY)

Decent Maths teacher, but poor Irish teacher.'This is a study group not a whispering club.'
Really smart guy, great maths teacher, just glad i wasnt there in the days of the leather. Scared the bejaysus outta me for the first 2 yrs, funny sometimes too
Has the ability to get good results from classes of poor ability. For this he is a true teaching maestro. His bark is worse than his bite!
Brilliant at Irish & getting pupils through their exams. A terrifying presence in the classroom. I learned alot but am unwilling to give him the credit!!!!!!
his was the only class where you could smell the fear!! excellent dealing with the messers
Terrifying, in the days of corporal punishment he actually leathered the entire class!
An ace at Irish. Yup taught through fear but it was needed. i did very well out of his class. Thanks Mr Ryan.
