I did leaving cert english with John in the late 80's. Brilliant teacher. Brought the subject to life. best leaving cert result i achieved. Organised trips to see plays and also brought in past pupil lorcan cranitch to talk to us - he was in Philadelphia Here I come in the Gaiety and we were doing it for the leaving. Always thinking outside the box to get through to us ! ...
Plus, great love of rugby - he organised for us to watch games early in the morning in the audio visual room . Good fun
