"Spud" was probably the best teacher I experienced there, and a gentleman outside the classroom. He was a true giver be it with the 'Ellers' rugby or the various clubs he gave so much of his spare time to. He was a great encourager. One of the priests who wasn't a hypocrite and left me with some fond memories of my 5 years boarding there, unlike two other creeps. "Spud" wherever you are now, I hope life is treating you well and don't feel tarred by others brushes.

had him for physics and applied maths in the 90's. The man is an A1 genius, made maths fun, and loved his dry sense of humour. Loved his students and always tried to get the best out of them.
