Finbar Hanrahan was an exceptionally poor maths teacher. He would only actually teach the syllabus a small fraction of the time, and when he did so he was quite incoherent. He did share some interesting anecdotes about his rivalry with Liam Lawlor, but that's about the most generous thing that I can say about him. Scraped by by doing the bare minimum, which was less than it is for most professions. Utterly incompetent.
Agreed! maths teacher in 80's - useless!!!! Good fun though but not a good teacher.
Dont exspect to learn much in his class but always a laugh knows his stuff if you listen
