Mr O'Mathuna is a gifted principal and his personal ethos is respect. We couldn't be happier about our decision to send our sons to Rochestown College. They look up to Mr O'Mathuna and never want to let him down in any way. A wise, genuine man of great integrity, kindness and tremendous energy.
He is absolutely wonderful. I have had several sons in the school and they admire & respect him. He always seems to be in good humour and is always on top of every situation.
Past Pupil. Only looking back do you realise how great he was for the college. Extremely fair.
He's very fair. I think he's an excellent principal. See how the school is growing under him
hes sound, but his stare.....whooaaaa!!!...hes a gud principal, he doesn't listen but atlest he has a who cares atitude for most things...better than gregor!!
we were in 2nd year when he started and knew everyone's name after a fortnight.thats like 200 students.pretty cool.sound guy, very much is about the end result as a man and not the leaving cert.
Had him for french bout '90, he left for a few years and came back in fighting form as principal. Very able, articulate - controlled and taught a class at his ease...an actual teacher.
da guys sound. he trys 2 fix da situation instead of draging it on.
all these comments about how he turned the school around are from present students,so how did they know about the previous administration,i experinced both,no difference,
"if i ever ever see this type of behaviour again, ill come down on you like a ton of bricks."sound but naive to the fact that theres lots of bulling goin on.
He's turned the school around and has been responsible for its increasing popularity again. The day that Ned left the rot set in and it has taken a strong person to rectify this.
a great teacher - commanded respect but you wanted to give it anyway - has turned ROCO around on his own energy (a new Victor in the making?) Dedicated Vision
the fresh prince of roco. wants to introduce a roco hair cut and roco jocks and socks
Had him for 5 years of irish in the 1980's. A bit of a wooly jumper man but a good guy. You should have seen the school with Benedict or Peter in Charge.....bad!
Was a solid french/irish teacher. Always thought he was sound. Past students speak very well of him.
Treats the school as a franchise instead of where students goto learn.Thinks ROCO is his own personal enterprise.
Doesnt listen to students, should he be a principal?
