I graduated back in 1998 and Mr Cusack is the reason I now have the career I have. He inspired me to love mathematics, applied mathematics and physics. There is no doubt that he teaches the top tier of the class, but this is great and he is brilliant
Class of 2004. Mr. Cusack is one of the handful of teachers you will remember long after you've left. The man is a legend. And if you are smart enough to be in his class, you should get an A or at least a B with or without his help. He'll be there to help you if genuinely need it.
Hopless teacher. He should not be allowed teach. He does no class preparation, is 10min late for every class, and only teaches the A student
Inspector suggests Cusack should go to a few inservice days, Cusack says "Grand, tell me where they are and I'll go teach them" Legend!
Right, now lads. R U Good at sums? Huh!? Put that jimmydog through the sheepwash and into the sausage machine round the calculus house & youngun in a skirt. HUH!
good teacher but not for me because im not an a student in maths not good for students who are the may west (best)
BULLY. But I loved him for it. Could make a (nearly) grown man weep over a remainder. Keep truckin Dennis!
Excellent teacher who made potentially difficult subjects (mathematics/physics) easy. Almost as good as Ray Kearns. Can't say better than that.
Speaks his mind without hesitation and on the spur of the moment but still doesn't come out badly. How does he do it?
Said i was too "stupid" for his class. Fair point and ill respect him for it.
Its easy to be considered a good teacher by the straight A Gonzaga Maths kids-If you actually had issues with the subject I found him a condescending letdown.
Class of 99 - Had him for Physics, Maths and Applied Maths. Soundest teacher ever and really funny. Desktop Headstands were the best.
I GOT 31% IN LEAVING CERT PHYSICS, BUT DENNIS CUSACK WILL ALWAYS BE THE MAN WHO THOUGHT ME TO STAND ON MY HEAD. WOULD MEET HIM IN MCSORLEYS ANYTIME!
Wonderful teacher and the reason I did maths in 3rd level. "Hyperbolic, huh? Good thing we don't have to use it in the plural form".
Fantastic approach: "D'ja think I'm just here to entertain yeh?", then hops up on the table and makes monkey noises. Brings best out of students.
he attacked me under the stairs of the science block but luckily he was so frail i over powered him
Great man! "What do you call a parrot that flies out a window?.... A Polygon." Keep it up Denis!
If a bottle of jameson was a sum, he'd have it finished in no time.
A very funny and honest man and a fantastic educator, i'll never forget the lessons and stories leanred from his class. a very good and inspiring maths teacher
Didnt learn a whole pile(my fault) but any man who abuses snide is an absolute beauty in my opinion. Give him back Maths 1.
What a man!mathamatical curves in Baywatch, only he could get away with saying that!Went into the Leaving Cert feelin like a true maths nerd!
made maths fun and didn"t put pressure on you to perform it was down to u u.
Taught us that little extra over and above the syllabus, which only made it easier for us in the leaving. Brilliant Teacher!
One of the most brilliant and underrated teachers ever. A fantastic man and a pleasure to be taught by.
"Eh - i'll just go and see if the physics lab is free" comes back with a cup of tea - classic stuff. lectured us as college students more then tought us as kids
This man not only gave me the gift of understanding, he thought me some of the most important lessons of my life, not to mention fending off Rats with a hurl.
