I was in secondary from 1984 to 1990-ish... Brian was a man of great kindness and would do anthing to help anyone. One of the great men of CBC. Thank you Brian.
The school's first career guidance counsellor (1973-4); a man of immense kindness and unshakable integrity
Really liked him. Taught Latin. At my 1978 Careers meeting he said, " Ah your aptitude tests are the most interesting. They show no particular aptitude for anything" Been a happy psychiatrist 22yr now
Teaching wasn't his first choice for a career and it showed. Ironically he was my career guidance counsellor. It's a tough job to try convince 17 and 18 year-olds what they should choose.
A great man. Took on too many of other people's problems. Helped more students in more ways than we'll ever know. Deserves the support of the school.
I left a long time ago but I still remember what a great listener he was. He prioritized everybody else ahead of himself. Maligned by some, but unjustly.
Decent, amenable, approachable, sincere. However one always got the sense that he had personal issues to sort out, which is best done outside the job.
