Man we pushed her hard, French JC class 2001. From bouncing dusters off the board to putting johnnys in her pencil case. She had a rough one that year but was always lively & interested. I remember she wrote our whole CSPE JC exam on the board and told us to copy it.
Years later I found a letter from the board of education saying my A in CSPE had been revoked after they found everyone had the same answers haha oh well. Lovely lady & a good teacher, you'd have to have been to put up with us
The best French/CSPE teacher I've had in this school. Manages to make a boring French class entertaining. "I get bored with my own voice at times" & *during yoga* "This is meant to look elegant dammit!"... !
She was nice for the most part and she definitely knew her stuff. However, her mental health came into question on more than one occasion!
Mrs D'Arcy is probably the best teacher in the school. She was very helpful coming up to the junior cert and somehow managed to make (what would be) a very difficult class entertaining. Moving swiftly on... She was always up
a nice person but can be a syko ! she looses the plot altogether when you step one foot out of line i havnt learned 1 word of french with her .. still though love the veiw when she turns around :)
She is the best teacher i have had for english she is so fun she is just SPLENDID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great laff but I learned more wi other teachers, its hell if u dnt do hw as well
dead sound. most of da time we just talk and tell each other funny stories. sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
I think I learned more manners than French in her class!
The woman is a legend! To remain that fabulous for that long in, let's face it, not the most cosmo of schools is an achievement... role model!
gr8teachr!! cn b strct if ya keep brakn rules tho!!othr den dat sound!!!!
Very nice. One complaint is the fact that we have to write out questions and do the questions for homework in english class.Besides from that minor annoyance she is pleasant and helpful.
Left Ardscoil many years ago. Only had Ms Darcy for French for a very short time. Brilliant teacher. Lovely person. She loves the subject and genuinely wants the students to do well.
really nice person, but cannot force people to work, which is necessary for a foreign language. classes seen to last for 5 mins. dont know if thats good or bad....
my favoirte teacherrealy nice and kind.and down to earth.
lovely woman. always thinking of new activities to make classes exciting!!!1
On a scale of one to eccentric... About a 10. Apparently in about 100 years women won't have baby toes anymore... But if i could understand that in french... :)
One of the best teachers I had. She's the reason I left the school knowing more French than Irish. Also the reason I did French as part of my course. Now fluent!
Good teacher but not that committed. Typical language teacher. Youd need to work alot outside of class to do well. Nice person though.
One of the finest teachers in the I have ever had, and an extremely nice lady too.
good teacher but if you dont work you will fall behind as she leaves it up to you.
carefree and doesn't give much work but still good at teaching (provided you do any work yourself)
A fantastic french teacher! But easy going, so you'll be screwed if you don't put the work in yourself!
she was okay when I had her for 1st year civics..went ballistic at me during a free class in 3rd year for talking..that's a black mark against her in my books
Nice woman. Bad tempered and not a good teacher at all
game as, loves her students, cut a dash on the corridor in my day
He's in a class of her own in the world of teaching french, she's a great teacher. ger
I like when she is writing on the board so i can look at the view
